HOUSTON – XCEL Group has appointed Tyler Hull and Brian Smith as business development managers, responsible for supporting the company’s continued expansion across key markets.
Tyler Hull, based in Wilmington, North Carolina, will serve as business development manager – East Region. Hull will be responsible for expanding XCEL Group’s presence across the eastern U.S., with a particular focus on growing the company’s footprint in the power generation sector.
Hull brings 14 years of combined engineering and business development experience. He previously worked as a field engineer and project manager for GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy and later held business development roles focused on remote visual inspection (RVI) and 3D laser scanning at Quest Integrity and TEAM Industrial Services.
Brian Smith joins XCEL Group as a business development manager based in Houston. He will focus on developing business relationships with owner-operators and contractors, while promoting XCEL’s non-destructive testing (NDT), mechanical integrity and advanced inspection services, including drone and remote visual inspection technologies.
Smith brings extensive industry experience, having previously held leadership roles with Ranger Inspection, Nexxis Technologies, Qi2 Elements, Audubon Engineering and HMT Inspection.
Hull holds a degree in mechanical engineering and an MBA from North Carolina State University and Smith holds a degree in distribution management and technology and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
